Diabetic Kidney Disease

DKD management has been transformed by SGLT2i and finerenone with the triplet therapy emerging. The session covers FLOW (semaglutide in DKD), FIDELITY pooled analysis (finerenone in CKD/HF), GLP-1 in CKD across stages, finerenone integration with SGLT2i and RAAS blockers, the SGLT2-GLP-1-finerenone triplet, and emerging endothelin antagonist trials (atrasentan PROTECT). Discussion addresses dialysis in obesity and GLP-1 considerations, transplant-related DKD, the CKM syndrome framework integration, dapagliflozin and other SGLT2i comparison, ASA-induced AKI in older patients on SGLT2i, and the implementation gap in nephrology referrals.
